Steph has just landed what appears to be the perfect job. New to town, she arrives full of hope and expectation, determined that a fresh start is just what she needs. She stays with Kristen, a childhood friend, only to find herself attracted to Kristen’s partner, Darcy. Even meeting cute office manager Emily isn’t enough to distract Steph from her feelings for Darcy and the more time they spend together, the more it becomes clear the attraction is mutual. When Steph and Darcy choose to act on their feelings, it sets off a chain of events that brings each of the four women into jeopardy. As they struggle with issues such as betrayal, drug and alcohol abuse, familial estrangement, sexual assault and the complexities of family law, they’re forced to confront their sense of self and what it is they value. As each works through her own personal demons, new relationships are forged and a renewed sense of hope emerges.
